About Adam Moore

Adam Moore is a dynamic spoken word artist, graffiti writer, published author, and transformative speaker whose performance platform, Adam Tells A Story, is dedicated to the absolute betterment of his audience.

His extraordinary journey began after surviving a life-altering accident on June 12, 1987, where an archery arrow pierced his brain. He channeled that trauma into writing and illustrating Broken Arrow Boy in 1989. Published in 1990, the book launched his decades-long career as a public speaker. After graduating from Broken Arrow High School in 1997, Adam studied philosophy, journalism, and English to earn his Associate of Arts and

Humanities in 2001.

A survivor of over fifty surgeries and a 2017 stroke that impaired his vision, Adam’s creative adaptability shines through his innovative self-therapy. To improve his hand mobility, he established the social media platform LEGO HAND THERAPY, engaging in a deeply personal process of "deconstruction" by rebuilding sets left behind by his late mother.

His passion for growth extended to horticulture at the Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, evolving from a personal obsession with buying plants into a digital side business called Yamato-e. While these early projects were non-profit labors of love, they served as the vital precursors to his current spoken word movement.

Having recently defied medical odds by transitioning from a paraplegic state to regaining feeling and movement in his legs through intensive adaptive training,

Adam is taking his Invisible Work platform directly to communities in recovery. Through upcoming engagements like his tailored presentation for the Salvation Army ARC, Adam uses raw narrative and the precise rhythm of haiku to carry his listeners "All the way up!"
